Sunglasses
People think that Los Angelenos think they’re somthing else wearing sunglasses all the time- indoors or outdoors. People– the light on the east coast must be diffused because of the humidity– i don’t really know.
But I can tell you that sometimes walking outside in the morning is like looking at a flashlight. It’s so bright. We have to squint- thus the crow’s feet, thus the Botox. It’s the sunlight not the Hollywood lights.
Anyway, can’t find my damn $17 drug store glasses that have been with me for at least two years. Sigh.

Whenever I find something that’s lost, I feel like I’ve run a 5K. It really is validation from the Divine that synapses are still firing.
Organizing the new home office over the weekend, I found my sunglasses buried in a “filing” box.
During the lost weeks,I actually bought some Fendis on sale at Nordstrom rack in Seattle with my friend Ame Simon. They are purple but not in an Elton John way.
